Kevin Griffin has a good description of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, and the way that he was able to use those mindfulness practices to work with difficult emotions. You can find that article here: There Are No Words in My Body.
If you’d like to listen to more detailed descriptions of the four foundations of mindfulness and how to practice with them, Joseph Goldstein gave a series of 46 talks on the Satipatthana Sutta, which was the Buddha’s main teaching on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness. Goldstein’s talks were the basis of his book “Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Awakening.” You can find those talks collected on the dharmaseed site at this link: Satipatthana Sutta Series.
Please keep in mind that dharmaseed and Tricycle are both charitable organizations supported by donations. If you find the talks or articles on a site useful, please consider making a donation to help support it.
