9:00 am: One Day Meditation Retreat with Dori Langevin

July 23, 2022

Dori Langevin

Meditation Teacher Dori Langevin will lead a one day online meditation retreat on July 23, 2022. The topic for the retreat is “Seeing the Goodness ~ Gladdening the Heart-Mind.” The retreat will held online from 9:00am to 3:30pm, using Zoom.  The retreat will consist of a mix of stationary meditation and movement meditation with instruction and a Dharma talk and will be suitable for beginners and experienced meditators.

To register for the retreat, please send an email to Chris Murray at  IMMC. Fee for the retreat will be $10. Please use our online donation form at Donorbox to pay the retreat fee and be sure to leave a comment indicating that the donation is for the retreat on July 23. The fee will be waived for those who can’t afford it. Those who are registered for the retreat will receive an email a day or two before the retreat with the Zoom link for the retreat.

Dori’s description includes the practice of Seeing the Goodness and Gladdening the Heart-Mind to foster a spacious and grounded “inner atmosphere” for receiving whatever arises with wisdom and kindness, both in formal meditation and in daily life. Together we will attune to the Wise Effort teachings that prepare us to: Wake up wholesome mindstates when they are not arising in the mind, and to Keep wholesome mindstates alive in the mind once they have already risen.

Dori will also give an online talk and lead meditation on Friday, July 22, from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm PT with the same topic. No registration needed for that, you will be able to find the Zoom link for that event in the IMMC newsletter, on the IMMC website Events Calendar the week of the event, or you can send an email to  [email protected] requesting the link.
