Meditation Retreat on Saturday, April 20, 2024

Genjo Marinello Roshi, abbot of Choboji Zen Center in Seattle, will lead a full day meditation retreat at Vista Hermosa (Prescott, WA) from 9:00 am-4:00 pm.

The Heart Sutra, an essential Zen teaching, will be explored. The title of the retreat is: “What do all those “NOs” mean? How is it that there is no eye, ear, nose, no thought, no hearing , no consciousness, no suffering no craving, no path and no wisdom? And what does this have to do with an open caring heart-mind?”

Cost of the retreat is $ 25 plus donation to the teacher. Scholarships are available.

The day-long retreat includes traditional Zen practices, silent sitting meditation called zazen, mindful walking, eating and resting alongside a dharma talk and personal Q & A with the teacher. This retreat is suitable for beginning and more experienced meditators.
