In Person Meditations Begin

In addition to our regular online meetings, we are now holding an outdoor in-person meditation meeting on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m., behind All Saints Episcopal Church, 1322 Kimball Avenue in Richland.

PLEASE NOTE: All Saints will be using the tent next week Monday 7/19 through Friday 7/23 for an educational event, so there will be a change in schedule on Wednesday 7/21, and we’ll meet for meditation in the tent behind All Saints at 8:00 a.m.

We meditate for half an hour, followed by an optional time for sharing and conversation after meditation. No problem if you want to just meditate and then leave.
The sessions is outdoors beneath a large tent that has no side walls, providing shade and great ventilation. There is parking behind the church, near the tent. The tent is in a grassy field and has no seating, so please bring whatever you’d like to sit on for meditation, e.g., folding chairs, benches, cushions, or a blanket.
Because we have several members in the meditation group who have compromised immune systems, we are requiring that anyone attending our in-person meditations be fully vaccinated.

Our Wednesday and Saturday morning online meetings are available if you’re not vaccinated, or are living out of town. The Wednesday online meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and the Saturday online meeting starts at 8 a.m. See the Events Calendar for details on how to participate.

There is enough room beneath the tent that we can have six-foot spacing between all participants, so masks will not be required, though you’re welcome to wear one if you feel more comfortable. Family groups can be seated closer to one another than six feet.
We’ll see how these initial in-person meditations go on Wednesday mornings as we work toward expanding our in-person meetings. We’re looking forward to welcoming some of you in person on Wednesday, and being there online for others. It’s been a long time, and hopefully we can continue to support one another as things begin to re-open.
