Please join us Friday evening at Shalom UCC as we welcome Dori Langevin for a talk and meditation.   Dori will give a talk covering the topics of her one day meditation retreat to be held the following day.

The top for the evening (and the following days retreat)  will be "Seeing the Goodness: The Wellspring of Unconditional Friendliness."

 

Dori will discuss illuminating our “heart-eyes”, which are naturally capable of seeing the intrinsic goodness ~ the gold ~ in ourselves, in each other and yes, even in the world. This aspect of Wise Effort takes courage and sometimes a different pair of glasses because we may be more oriented toward seeing what is wrong and what is missing.

Wake up wholesome mind states when they are not arising in the mind, and

Keep wholesome mind states alive in the mind once they've already arisen.
